Pastor Kristine Marshall: Beauty from brokenness One morning after a bad Saturday night windstorm, Marshall figured even though Bethel United Methodist Church’s power was out, the congregation could gather in its fellowship hall. When Marshall walked outside, she saw that the butterflies didn’t withstand the storm. The sermon for the day was on “beauty in brokenness.” With her hair in a ponytail and her arms full of broken wings, she spoke candidly with her fellowship about struggles she’s overcome in her life.
